May Is Mental Health Awareness Month. Any Advice For Someone Newly Diagnosed With Melanoma?
Have confidence in your medical team. If you do not, find someone else. It has not been quite a year since my diagnosis...as a Nam Vet I am in the care of the VA...and the Kansas City VA and the Leavenworth VA have been and are stellar. I have absolute confidence. Physical health problem does not mean mental health problem. Don't say, "Why me?" Say "Why not me?" And, though I'm sure it is not original, my line is: "I have cancer; cancer does NOT have me." And, as a stumbling follower of Jesus Christ I recognize my time is in His hands, and that ALL things work together for good. Blessings to you
