Sylvia - I currently have metastatic melanoma stage 4. I’m doing immunotherapy and doing well but I want to talk about your coughing and swelling of your legs. I had similar symptoms before I started immunotherapy. It turned out that melanoma can cause blood clots. In my case, it blocked my Superior Vena Cava (SCV), the largest vein through which deoxygenated blood from the upper part of the body returns to the heart. I had to have 4 stints inserted into the SVC vein BEFORE I could start immunotherapy. I’ r been back to the vein surgeon and everything looks good. Since then, I’ve made very good progress through immunotherapy.

Hope this helps but discuss with your doctor.

I'd check with your oncologist on that coughing and swelling, Sylvia.
