I Am Really Scared And Sick About My Mom Please Any Tips Would Be Greatly Appreciated?

Yesterday 04/08/2024 my mother who is pretty healthy at 78 years old was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. They said it's 2.2 mm into the dermis. I cannot grasp with this happening and been so sick and trying to be strong for her but I feel like I've been the one diagnosed. We are waiting on insurance approval to send her for surgery and see if it's spread. Thank you for letting me vent as I have been so sick.

Your mom's melanoma sounds very similar to mine. I was diagnosed with a tumor on my scalp that was Claire's as a stage 4. Take some deep breaths, go one step at a time. I know waiting for insurance, surgery, treatment... It's all a process. I can imagine it's even harder to watch and wait as your lived one hours through this. Hang in there. Btw, I will have my 7th KEYTRUDA infusion next week and I'm getting through one step at a time
